Highland Hammock State Park is an awesome place to visit. It has been left in it's original wild state with the exception of the roads and trails. This is one park where you are going to walk the trails or you aren't going very far. They have a couple of raised boardwalk trails including one that is about 2 feet wide and only has a railing on one side. It is as unobtrusive as it can be and still allow you to walk out into a true cypress hammock. It's simply one of the best state parks I've been to.
