Sandhill Crane
I took this shot one handed out the passenger window of my car while stopped in traffic. I couldn't have done it without autofocus, autoexposure and luck. I have a camera with me almost everywhere I go and if alone, it's sitting on the passenger seat beside me. The sandhill is one of my favorite birds and it always makes me nervous to see them next to the highway, especially when they have young with them.
