Dove

I was in the Ocala National Forest looking for scrub jays and saw this mourning dove sitting quietly on a branch.  I took this shot without getting out of my car, I find it makes an excellent blind and many of my scrub jay photos were taken in the same fashion.  The dove blends in with the tree bark so I had to make a special effort to throw the background out of focus.  It's a beautiful bird, something about the big dark eyes that gets me.
